Our study day will take place at Shaftesbury Arts Centre on Sunday 11th February 2024.

Registration begins in the foyer at 0930.

Agenda:

10.00 – Joe Sharman will give a talk on ‘New Varieties in Production’ and introduce his new snowdrop “Gold Hill”, named after our town’s most famous landmark.

11.30 – Melvyn Jope will lecture on Galanthus and companion plants in Greece.

From 13.00 the Best in the West Sale will open at Shaftesbury Town Hall

The event ends at 16.00

Horticultural lecture – Saturday 17th February

We are delighted to welcome horticulturalist Lou Nicholls to give a lecture at Shaftesbury Arts Centre in the afternoon of 17th February.

Lou Nicholls – Snowdrops for Everyone

Lou Nicholls is a renowned Horticulturist who has spent over 20 years in the industry.

She will discuss her own experiences as a snowdrop grower and will offer practical advice to listeners who would like to grow snowdrops in their own gardens.

The talk begins at 2pm.
